Our Mission
The Center of The Rockies provides queer-focused resources, support, community building, education, and other programming throughout the state of Colorado. We strive to be the most progressive and intersectional queer organization. The Center of The Rockies believes that social, racial, and environmental issues are interconnected and our planet and people are stronger when we come together to create positive change. While we are a queer- focused organization, anyone who believes our world needs to be a more loving, respectful, and sustainable place is welcome.
In order to achieve our mission the Center of The Rockies utilizes mobile outreach, social media, Zoom, and other methods to develop the most cutting edge approaches to reach everyone. We are always looking for new ideas and queer voices across Colorado and beyond to collaborate with and we place an emphasis on creating a platform for youth and young adult voices to be heard. We also encourage queer artists and storytellers to share their work so we can increase visibility and historical record of the queer community. We often take a nature-based approach for activities and programming to connect with the natural beauty of Colorado!
